ESF 6 – Mass Care • Current Issues • Sheltering: • 28 Shelters in 15 counties on Standby, to be opened as needed starting this evening • TSA Reports they are monitoring and the local canteen crews are preparing to respond as needed. • ARC reports Disaster Response Teams and Shelter Management are on standby and hot lines are activated in areas where impacts are expected. • Unmet Needs • None at this time • Future Operations • To open shelters for tonight's evacuations and provide post storm assistance as needed.   42. ESF 8 – Health & Medical • Current Issues • Dixie County will be opening a SpNS at Cross City Rehab Center. They are expecting ten (10) patients. All other counties are monitoring, shelters are on standby • Levy will open their SpNS at 1800. Alachua is putting one (1) general and one SpNS (Irby) on standby • Florida Hospital Association (FHA) and Agency for Health Care Administration (FHCA) are doing assessments of facility actions and needs. There are no identified needs at this time • Regional Emergency Response Advisors have been activated. Region 2 is in Tallahassee, Regions 1 and 5 are en route to Tallahassee, Region 3 and 4 on standby in place, Region 6 is staging in Starke.

  49. ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues (Electric) • Progress Energy Crystal River facility includes one nuclear power plant plus four coal fired power plants. If the storm surge is greater than 8 feet at high tide, then the entire plant will be brought down, including the coal fired units. There is ample excess capacity throughout the state to cover this loss of power. • Facilitating permitting of utility crews movements into the area to be impacted. • In state and out of state crews are locating staging sites. • FRCC reported all back-up fuel supplies are in good order (oil tanks topped off and coal piles stacked). • Gulfstream and FGT also participated and they do not anticipate any evacuations from the offshore production facilities.

ESF 12 – Energy • Current Issues (Fuels) • Ports in the Panhandle are at Condition Whiskey • Port of Tampa at Condition Yankee, anticipate Condition Zulu Tuesday • Tender tankers for USAR in route to Tallahassee and Ocala • Arranging tankers for support Recovery Operations • No reports of retail fuel shortages • Unmet Needs • None at this time • Future Operations • Electric - Continue monitoring and facilitating electric utilities preparations for recovery after landfall. • Fuels - Arranging tankers for support Operations Up Next – ESF 13
