  1. Arrangement of Temple Altar at Home

  2. Understanding the science behind worship • Helps perform the worship with concentration and faith • Concentration helps awaken spiritual emotion and understand principles behind the worship • Ritual done as per science of Spirituality/worship brings maximum benefit • Imparting the science to the curious new generation helps build their faith, bring them closer to Spirituality and preserve Dharma.

  3. Altar at home – direction and material • The altar should be facing east west direction.  • The altar should be of Sandalwood or Sagwani, as its has more capability of attracting and dissipating sattvik frequencies.  • Colour of altar: wooden as shown   • Shape of altar: as shown

  4. Altar at home – Arrangement • Lord Ganesh in the center. • Male deities to the right of Lord Ganesh. • Female deities to left of Lord Ganesh. • If one has Guru then one can place the picture of the Guru on the right side along with other male deities. Pictures of Female and Male Deities together When the female deity is on the left side of the male deity she represent the savior form and thus the male deity can be considered as the predominant deity in that picture. Vice versa is also true.

  5. Significance of worshipping Lord Ganesh • He is the controller of all directions. Hence worshipping Him first opens all directions for deities to arrive. • As Lord Ganesh ties up the negative energies in His pash, they cannot obstruct the worship. • Lord Ganesh is able to understand both “language of sound” and “language of light” and hence He is able to easily translate and reach our prayers to Deities.

  6. The Three Subtle Basic Components pervade our entire existence and the world we live in. Depending on which one of the three subtle components is predominant within us, it influences how we: • React to situations • Make decisions • Make choices • Live our lives. Thus they influence all of creation, whether the physical, psychological or spiritual realm. From the smallest physical particles to even our thoughts!

  7. Sattva component is the most subtle or intangible of the three subtle basic components. It is nearest to divinity. Predominant Sattvik personality - Happy, content, virtues like patience, perseverance, ability to forgive, spiritual yearning etc. • Tama component is the basest of the three. Predominant Tamasik person - Lazy, greedy, attachment to worldly matters etc. • Raja component provides fuel to the other two, i.e. brings about the action. So depending on whether a person is predominantly sattvik or tamasik the subtle basic raja component will bring about actions pertaining to sattva or tama.

  8. Characteristics of three basic components

  9. They are intangible particles but when active and accompanied by energy, they are perceived (via ESP) in a wave form.
