  1. how does bail bond work? When circumstances drive you to jail in case of state offence, the officials need an authentic surety of your timely presence in court for all required proceedings, hearings and trials for your release. Your good previous record and public acquaintance are the required evidences that ensure your presence in the town, on fulfilling these conditions court may discharge you. This bail bond process of self-surety is called own recognizance.

  2. how does bail bond work? If the suspect is unable to provide sufficient self-recognizance than court or judge sets a certain sum of money to be paid before setting free. This legal process is called bail. This deposited money is actually a surety that ensures your timely presence in the court for every trial and hearing. You have to deposit the agreed sum of money with the court and enjoy your liberty but with the promise to show up your presence when and where required positively, otherwise the honorable court has the right to confiscate your bail bond. Keeping in view the intensity of crime and suspect’s previous record a judge can set a high amount of bail bonds.

  3. Importance of bail bonds In case of unavailability of required money or the bail, court accepts a bail bond as an alternative. This is offered by an insurance company. The company takes the responsibility of paying the money for the entire bail procedure if the suspect refuses to come in the court. Insurance company charges a premium for bond postage. The insurance company charges $1,000 if the bail money is $10,000 which means that the company charges a 10% premium for the bond postage. In addition to this the insurance company wants assurance by taking the sign of a guarantor or a withholder. In case of absence of the suspect the guarantor has to pay the $10,000 to the insurance company.
