  2. INTRODUCTION: The department offers Post graduate program in computer applications. The program is divided into six semester’s modules. Each module consists of a minimum 5 theoretical subjects and 2 laboratory works to meet the expectations of industry. Four to six weeks after fourth semester are reserved for industry oriented project training and the students are made to work on a dedicated project which is evaluated in fifth semester at best MCA College in Punjab.

DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY The aim of the department is to develop technocrats who can manage computer applications strategically in order to ensure organizational competence and growth in a dynamic technological environment. Exhaustive theoretical concepts with hands on training in the laboratories and dedicated project work ensures that students not only attain excellent technical skills but also develop the trait of life long learning so that they meet the challenges of digital scenario.

  4. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: A candidate must have passed Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with mathematics/quantitative techniques/statistics at 10.2 level or graduation or BCA. Few seats are also available under management quota.

CAREER PROSPECTS: [White Collared Jobs] – For a student who has chosen computer applications they. can be placed as a trainee programmer software analyst. system administrator and highly paid jobs in government sectors. Software developer, web designer, system management etc. are few of the key areas that an MCA graduate is hired for job.
