    27. In additional to the new debit card. The University has selected a new flexible spending account company to provide reimbursements from your health and dependent care spending accounts. AFLAC, a current UI vendor offering voluntary, personal line policies, will also administer our spending accounts after July 1, 2005. We will end our 13 year relationship with Manley Services for spending accounts services, but will continue to work with Manley on other HR / Benefits Services issues. AFLAC, who like Manley, has demonstrated customer service excellence, was selected because of value and competitive pricing that was advantageous to the University. You will still use Manley until June 30th and any claims that are incurred before June 30 can still be presented to Manley for reimbursement through the end of September. All new expenses should be submitted to AFLAC or accessed through your debit card. When you use your debit card, remember to save your receipts. IRS requires that you retain these and even though you can access your money immediately you will have to mail in your receipts for most prescriptions purchases, so plan accordingly.In additional to the new debit card. The State of Idaho helps provide state appropriated funds that are in excess of $11 Million Dollars of this expense. The University through charges to auxiliaries, local service accounts, gift and grants and other UI funding, contributes the remaining $16,557,773 that is represented on this slide. . Employees like you and I will pay just a little more than $1 million for the cost of our own coverage and just $2 Million Dollars to cover our dependents for a total of about $3 Million Dollars in employee contributions. . You will notice that the fiscal year 2005 total employee cost sharing is also a total of about $3 M Dollars. It is significant to understand what this means to you and I as employees. Even though the University has experienced a 10% cost hike, the employee share of the costs has not increased. The University has absorbed the employees share of the health plan costs increases. .
