  1. Glimpses of NET and SSC CHSL Exam Among many Governmental exams UGCNET Exams and SSC CHSL Exam are very much in demand as these exams are the keys to fulfil your dream. UGC NET Exam determines the eligibility for Assistant Professor and also Junior Research Fellowships. On the other hand SSC CHSL Exam recruits candidates for the post of Sorting Assistant/Postal Assistants, Data Entry Operator and Lower Division Clerks in Government departments and ministries. Things to know about UGC NET Exam The Central Board of Secondary Education, on behalf of UGC, conducts the NET exam for the eligibility of Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship in Indian Universities and colleges. It conducts exam for almost 83-85 languages at different centres that are spread across the country. Those who qualify the Junior Research Fellowship can pursue research in their post-graduation subject or a related subject in the Indian Universities, IIT’s and other institutions. The eligibility for the two depends on the performance in all the three papers that a candidate has to appear for NET. The Staff Selection Commission’s (SSC) Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam on one hand consists of Written Exam and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and on the other a Written Test and a Typing Test is conducted for the candidates of Sorting Assistant and Lower Division Clerk and also Postal Assistant. The Written Paper consists of Objective Multiple Choice questions and Part I, III and IV is set both in English and Hindi. There is negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. The paper is of 200 marks and the time duration is 2 hours. An Overview of SSC Constable and MTS Exam Staff Selection Commission (SSC), recruits staff for the various Ministries and Departments related to the Government and many Subordinate Offices. The SSC functions under the Department of Personnel & Training and its primary function is to make recruitments for non- technical Group C rank. Among many exams conducted by SSC, two most popular exams are SSC Constable Exam and SSC MTS Exam. A Survey into SSC Constable Exam Every year, many vacancies are declared by SSC for the post of Ground Duty Constable in the different government departments in the form of eight forces: Assam Rifles, BSF, NIA, CRPF, SSF, CISF, SSB and ITBP. An open competitive exam is conducted both offline and online mode for the convenience of every candidate. The process of selection starts with Physical Standard Test and Physical Efficiency Test and those who are declared qualified are eligible for the next SSC Constable GD Exam. Based on the performance in the written, candidates are called for medical examination. The pattern of the SSC Constable Exam is: The time duration is 2 hours only.  Total 100 Multiple choice questions.  Total 04 sections and each comprise of 25 questions.  Total 100 marks.  The Medium of language is Hindi or English in online mode.  A survey into SSC MTS Exam SSC Multitasking Staff (Non-Technical) is conducted to recruit Peon, Daftary, Junior Gestetner Operator and mainly Group C posts. A person with matriculation degree and the prescribed age is eligible for the exam. This selection process is mainly based on the written examination. The written exam consists of two papers. If the candidate qualifies Paper I, he/she is eligible for Paper II. The pattern of Paper I of SSC MTS Exam is: It is objective type  The total duration is 2 hours only.  Total number of questions are 150  Total marks 200  Total 04 sections: Reasoning, Maths, English and General Knowledge. 

  4. 0.25 negative marking is there.  The Paper II is completely descriptive where the candidates have to write 5 short essays or letters in English and one language which is included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution. The second paper basically tests the elementary language skills of the candidate. The cut off marks in Paper I and qualifying marks of Paper II may vary for vacancies in different states. Once the candidate qualifies the Paper II, document verification is the most important step to cross.
