Suresh Desi Cow Ghee - 100% Organic and Natural. No Additives. No Preservatives. Switch to pure Desi Cow Ghee. In India, desi cow ghee used to be the preferred edible fat. Lately, it has come under a cloud— as it is a great content of saturated fatty acids and cholesterol is believed to be responsible for the increased pervasiveness of coronary artery disease in Indians. Almost for decades, the jar of desi ghee on our kitchen shelves came with a huge dollop of guilt. Now, it's making a comeback as a superfood in our diet.

  1. Desi Cow Ghee Superfood Or Saturated Fat?

  2. Ghee is one of the special superfoods that gives you the best of both worlds: it’s deeply rejuvenating, powerfully health-boosting and has out-of-this-world flavor. It should come as no surprise that it has been honored as a prized food in India for thousands of years. Ghee has a special place in Ayurveda as an ingredient for nourishment and healing, apart from its role in the daily rituals of cooking and worship. In fact, many Ayurvedic physicians consider ghee to be such a supreme health tonic that it is often recommended, in small doses, as the food given to a newborn child. 3. Let’s clear up the myth that (natural) fat is bad for you. Humans need fat to be healthy – it is actually essential for our bodies. The simplistic idea that eating fat makes you fat is completely wrong. Quality fats are ESSENTIAL to have in our diet and it’s very clear that our human physiology needs fats because every membrane of every cell and every organelle inside of cells are made of fats. Healthy bile release and a healthy gall bladder requires fat, the brain is comprised of 60% fat. It can also enhance our immune system, as well as aiding in hormone and blood sugar balance. BUT ISN’T FAT BAD FOR YOU?

  4. The Indian Journal of Medical Research A 2011 study by scientists from the National Dairy Research Institute in Haryana, published in The Indian Journal of Medical Research, states that ghee from cow’s milk could actually protect us from cancer as it “enhances the availability of enzymes responsible for detoxification of cancer-causing substances”.“The doubt related to ghee exists because of half information. People believe that packaged oils are healthy. In fact, it is best to avoid saturated fat that comes in ‘fibre-rich’ biscuits and ‘iron-enriched’ cereals and switch to ghee as it provides the type of fat needed for absorbing fat-soluble vitamins like A and E,” says Diwekar. Ghee serves as an antioxidant and is good for the immune system because it acts as a medium for the absorption of all fat-soluble vitamins. Besides, it has a high concentration of butyric acids and fatty acids that contain antiviral properties.
