Deed: As per the common parlance, a deed may be defined as an instrument in writing executed by a person or company making some confirmation, assurance or according consent or concurring in some acts or actions which may affect such party legal position or position of another party which is also the party to the instrument in question or any person claiming under them. Such confirmation or assurance given through instrument in question may be relating to some interest in property or title some other subject matter as the case may be.

  3. This instrument should be signed, sealed and delivered. The person signing also affix the seal himself on the instrument or any other person can do the same in his presence with his consent. Document: In general parlance, a document may be defined as a deed or some other letter that may be used as matter of record or evidence. As per section 3 of Indian Evidence Act a document to mean any matter, expressed or described, upon any substance by means of letters

  4. figures or marks or by more than one of those means intended to be used or which may be used for the purpose of recording that matter. For example a map is a document.
