  2. Equal Opportunity Officer Responsibilities • Ensures USDOL funding recipients comply with equal opportunity and non-discrimination obligations. • Ensures recipients provide universal access to Workforce Center programs through outreach and recruitment efforts.

  3. What is discrimination? • Treating a customer, participant or employee worse than others based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, religion, disability, political belief or familial status.

  4. What isequal opportunity? • The right of all persons to receive equal consideration in Workforce Center programs regardless of race, color, sex, age, national origin, ancestry, religion, disability, or familial status.

  5. What is universal access? • Recipients must promote services to people of both sexes, all racial and ethnic groups, persons with or without disabilities and persons from different age groups through community outreach and partnerships.

  6. Equal Opportunity OfficerResponsibilities • Administers the WIA discrimination complaint process for customers, participants and employees. • Conducts WIA equal opportunity monitoring.
