  1. Water Titration and You • In this presentation, you will learn how to prepare your daily dose using the water titration method.

  2. Measuring Water • Fill graduated cylinder with water to the amount indicated on your schedule.

  3. Dissolve Pill in Water • Place one pill in mortar with a small amount of water from your cylinder.

  4. Dissolve Pill in Water • Grind with pestle until pill is mixed with the water.

  5. Pour Medication into Blender • Pour the medication into the blender.

  6. Rinse Mortar • Rinse mortar with some of the measured water from the cylinder.

  7. Pour rinse water into blender • Pour the rinse water into the blender.

  8. Pour cylinder water into blender • Pour remaining pre-measured cylinder water into the blender.

  9. Blend • Blend for 20-30 seconds to suspend medication in the water.

  10. Measuring your toss amount • For small amounts (under 20ml) use the baby dropper to measure and remove your toss amount.

  11. Measuring your toss amount • For large amounts (20ml or greater) use the graduated cylinder to measure your toss amount. Do this by pouring the liquid from the blender back into the cylinder for measurement.

  12. Discard your toss amount • Discard your toss amount down the drain or, if your toss amount is greater than your drink amount, you can save it in a sealed container in the refrigerator for use the next day.

  13. Drink what’s left • After measuring and discarding your “toss” amount, drink the remainder of the “drug water” that remains in the blender. • Pour some water in the blender and slosh it around to pickup any remaining residue and drink the rinse water.

  14. You’re Done!
