  2. Program • 1:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Social Time • 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Cooking Demo • 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Eat & Chat (The following pictures are just for your reference. Don’t take them too seriously!) P.S. We ask friends to contribute $5 to the food materials, if possible.

  3. Shanghai Vegetable Rice (Binny) Ingredients: Rice (cooked): 6 bowel; 1 table spoon chopped Ginger, 6 Bok Choy, 2 bags of Golden Mushrooms, 2 cups of edamame; sesame oil; salt Procedure: 1. Heat sesame oil in the wok, fry chopped ginger    2. Add chopped bok choy, golden mushroom and edamame in the wok  3. Mix rice and vegetables, and add salt

Lemon Noodles & Coconut Noodles (Prema) Lemon Noodles 1 pkt rice noodles; 1 cup cashews; White daal (URAD) 1 tbsp soak set aside; Split Yellow Daal (Chana daal) 1tbsp soak set aside; Salt to taste;  Curry leaves 5 sprigs; mustard seeds 1tbsp; 1/2 cup lemon juice  1 tsp turmeric; 2 tbsp  veg  oil; 1 green chilly (optional) Method  Boil 2 cups water with salt; Add rice noodles;  Cook for 4 minutes Drain in colander; In a skillet heat 2tbsp oil  Let mustard seeds pop; add drained urad daal and drained chena daal; add turmeric   add curry leaves chopped; add rice noodles that have cut to shorter length  Add Lemon juice; Add cashews (roasted)/May cut in half;   Coconut Rice Noodles  Ingredients: Same as above except lemon juice and turmeric  Fresh grated coconut (tastes better) 1 cup or 1 and half or store bought coconut bought in Super market is soft but has sugar  Method  Boil water with salt and Rice Noodles  1packet  (set aside) Cut to shorter length;  In a skillet place 2 tsps oil; Let mustard seeds pop; roast Urad daal and Chana daal  Roast grated coconut to golden brown; Roast curry leaves; Add noodles; Toss well

Pav Baji Oats(Sunanda) Ingredients: 1/2 cup Oats; 1 tsp Olive Oil; 1/4 cup chopped Onion; 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste 1/4 cup diced Carrot; ¼ cup diced Beans; 1/4 cup diced red/yellow Pepper 1/4 cup Green Peas; 1/4 cup frozen corn; ¼ cup chopped cilantro leaves 1 tsp Pav Bhaji Masala; Red Chilli powder to taste; Lemon juice and salt to taste Method Heat Olive oil in pan. After the oil is heated add chopped Onion +hard vegetables (carrot, beans), mix and sauté for 3 to 4 min. Then add ginger garlic pasteand mix well. Add all other veggies like other vegetables, mix well and cook for 3 to 4 mts. Add Pav bhaji masala, red chilli powder and mix well. Cook for 1-2 more min. Then add oats and mix well with masala. Then add water couple of tbl spoon at a time and mix well and cook for 2-3 min. Add salt and lemon juice and mix well, cover and cook for 1-2 min.
