  2. When was he born? • Beethoven was born in December in 1770 • He was very fascinated by music as a child. • He was born in Vienna, Europe

  3. Family of Beethoven • When he was 17 years old his mother and baby sister died, and Ludwig's father lost his job. • He returned home for 5 years to help support the family, until his fathers death, then he moved back for good.

  4. What age he got into music • Beethoven got into music at a very young age of seven years old. • When Beethoven was 17 years old he went to study Classical music with Franz Joseph Haydn ( One of the greatest composers in the classical period).

  5. Instruments played by Beethoven • He was both a performer and a composer. • Ludwig played piano and he also composed nine symphonies in his life time.

  7. Personal disorders • Just before writing his very first symphony, Beethoven began to lose his hearing. • The last 10 years of Beethoven's life, he heard nothing • Ludwig may have "heard" music by feeling its vibrations

  8. When/How he died. • He died late in the afternoon on March 26, 1827, • He had caught pneumonia a few weeks earlier and never fully recovered. • The last words Beethoven spoke were, “I shall hear in Heaven.”
