  2. History of the wine cellars The Winery is the end of a long process in which all parties have been implicated. Without mentioning explicitly the people on an individual basis, whether to include farmers (wine-growers of Castillejo de Robledo), the officers of the Board of Castile and León in Soria, Caja rural Soria, represented by its President and its General Director, without their support and belief in the project it would not have been possible to make this journey that now is a reality and in which we have put all, each and everyone from his corresponding place, illusion, heart, and work.

  3. Background The creation of the Winery is preceded by the formation of an A.T.R.I.A. of vineyard in Castillejo de Robledo (1987). In February 1994 is prepared the project of rescue and restructuring of the vineyards in Castillejo de Robledo, with two main objectives: - Retrieve the vineyard in those areas that have been abandoned. - Restructure the existing plantations and allocate part of the land and repopulate it with tree species from the area (Quercus Ilex and JumiperusThurifera), due to the excessive slope and therefore it has not been advisable to cultivate. The restructuring is carried out in the two following seasons. After these actions arises the need to close the productive cycle, looking for a solution to the marketing of the grapes of the new vineyards.

  4. The society is constituted through public deed on 5 September 1998 in Castillejo de Robledo. In its article 2° represents its object: (a) The elaboration of the grapes harvested on the exploitations. (b) The marketing, characterization and processing of wines and by-products either packaged or in bulk. (c) Cultivation and technical improvement of the vineyards. (d) The provision of products and services necessary for the exploitations. (e) Carry out all activities necessary to facilitate the technical, occupational and environmental improvement of the exploitations. (f) Development and aging of wine. Currently, the shareholding is composed of 17 shareholders. In April 1999 starts the construction of the winery, located in the old area of lagares and wine cellars that attest to the winemaking tradition of this land and its people. The first elaboration was realized in October 1999. In Bodegas Castillejo we work at the time with 8 people, 2 of them with reduced day to combine their studies. Over the years we have received various recognitions: -Silver medals in the international exhibition of wine of Madrid. -92 points "parker" in 2008
