Tobacco/Smoking Cessation Support “Clearing the Air” to a Tobacco-Free UC on January 2, 2014 Effective January 1, 2014, UC joins more than 1,100 colleges and universities Nationwide in implementing a system-wide smoke and tobacco free policy. Our Medical Programs will be supporting these efforts through: • Inexpensive Access to Nicotine Replacement Therapy • Smoking Cessation Programs

Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) All UC Medical Plans continue to provide RX for smoking cessation at $0 cost (e.g., Chantix, Zyban) Over the Counter NRT covered at $5 (generic copay) • OTC = Gum – Patch – Lozenge • Doctor’s Prescription Required • Kaiser Only - $0 Copay for both RX and OTC products
