  1. Acts 17:30-31 • His Resurrection • Proves • Our • Resurrection!

  2. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

  3. Because • Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

  4. If Jesus was raised from the • Dead, • we shall be raised • from the dead!

  5. The Bible Proves He wasRaised from the dead! • He is not here: he has arisen!

  6. Matt. 28:6 • He is not here: • for he is risen, as he said. Come , see the place where the Lord lay! • (He laid there, but He is not there now!)

  7. Mark 16:6 • 6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

  8. Matthew & Mark both say he has arisen, • but, what does Luke say? • Luke 24:6-8

  9. Luke 24:6-8 • 6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, • 7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

  10. 8 And they remembered his words, • 9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

  11. Did John say He had risen? John 20:3-10 3 Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. • 4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. • 5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

  12. 6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, • 7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

  13. 8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. • 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. • 10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

  14. The Resurrection Morning Matthew 28:1-10

  15. Matt. 28:1-10 • In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. • 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. • 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

  16. 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. • 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. • 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

  17. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. • 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

  18. 9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. • 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

  19. No Doubt About Jesus being Raised from the dead….. • Do you believe • That all of us will • Be raised up from the dead?

  20. Let Us Look at Some Things That Will Occur On OUR Resurrection Morning

  21. God’s Power Will Be Realized It will be an exhibition of powerthat has never been seen before!

  22. Matt. 25:31 • 31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

  23. I Cor. 6:14 • 14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.

  24. 2 Thess. 1:7-8 • 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, • 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  25. Rev. 1:7 • 7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

  26. Rev. 1:12-17 • 12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; • 13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

  27. 14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; • 15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

  28. 16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. • 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

  29. Graves Will Be Opened & the Dead Will Rise All humanity will rise to meet the Son of God face to face in judgment!

  30. Matt. 27:52-53 • 52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, (shows that we will be raised .) • 53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

  31. John 5:28-29 • 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, • 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

  32. I Cor. 15:51-52 • 51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, • 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

  33. There Will Be Mass Hysteria and Mixed Emotions Many who expect to be saved will be disappointed! Why?

  34. They did not prepare to meet Him! • Are you • Prepared • To Meet • Him?

  35. Rev. 6:15-17 • 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

  36. 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: • 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

  37. Matt. 7:21-23 • 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. • 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? • 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

  38. Heb. 10:31 • 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

  39. Our Bodies Will Be Changed Mortality to Immortality – a transformation that no plastic surgeon could dare to equal!

  40. 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. • 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

  41. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. • 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

  42. 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. • 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

  43. 2 Cor. 5:1-4 • For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. • 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

  44. 3 If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. • 4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.

  45. Phil. 3:20-21 • 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: • 21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

  46. Jesus Will Be With His People A family reunion

  47. I John 3:2 • 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him;for we shall see him as he is.

  48. John 14:1-3 • Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. • 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. • 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

  49. Phil. 1:21-23 • 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. • 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. • 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

  50. I Thess. 4:17 • 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
