  2. Getting started • Visit http://vue.tufts.edu/download/index.cfm and sign up for a new account Click here Fill out the form and complete registration, this will allow you to access the dowloads page

  3. Getting Started • Visit http://vue.tufts.edu/download/index.cfm and sign up for a new account • Load the VUE software This is the main screen you will see when VUE loads. Start by dragging your photos directly onto this window

  4. Drag an image directly onto VUE and it will add it to the empty map

  5. Continue by adding your next image to the concept map

  6. Click on the link tool

  7. A text box will appear between the link once it is established; which can be used to describe the significance of the link (what relation it may have to the main image). After selecting the link tool, left click on the first image and drag your pointer to the second. As your pointer approaches the second image and arrow will form; release the left-click on your mouse and the link will be established. Continue this process until you have added and linked the appropriate number of images for the assignment. Example of a completed concept map.

  8. Saving your map Name your map Select Save As… • Maps should be saved in .VPK and .JPEG formats when submitting them to Moodle. • Do NOTsave your maps in .VUE format! Select JPEG and click save. Save a second copy of this map in .VPK format by repeating this process and selecting VPK instead of JPEG
