  2. International Education Aim To enable every learner (pupils and teachers) in Scotland to benefit from an international education in order to prepare our young people for life and work in a global society Learning and Teaching Scotland

  3. Outcome • Our young people will be global citizens, able to take up their place in the world, contribute to it confidently, successfully and effectively, understanding rights and responsibilities of working and living in a global world. Learning and Teaching Scotland

  4. China Plan • Increase Chinese language learning and learning about China in Scottish schools Learning and Teaching Scotland

  5. Confucius Classrooms Learning and Teaching Scotland Developing 8 Hubs across Scotland and an online hub (GLOW) The aim is that every school in Scotland will have an opportunity to access these classrooms and their resources. Learning and Teaching Scotland

Confucius Classrooms • Acting as a hub for pupils, teachers, community members, other schools and local authorities to stimulate learning and teaching Chinese language and culture • Acting as a hub for teachers, schools and local authorities to see examples of practice and enable them to participate in specific professional development activities • Providing and developing resources for the teaching of Chinese language and culture Learning and Teaching Scotland
