  3. The Problems That Thailand Faces • Few children go to proper schools • Over-population of students in one class • Non age-appropriate classes • Bad education • Many children are forced to take drugs

Is Education important, Why? • Education gives knowledge of world around us • It helps us give opinions and also debate on many things • It also teaches us the right behavior, manners and how to lead and live our lives • It equips us with all things needed to make our dreams true • Opens opportunities to a great career • Also wipes out all the bad beliefs • It builds a confidence to make decisions throughout your life • It tells you how to accept failures and successes

  7. Children not going to school • 90000 primary aged students are not taking school • Children are forced to work instead of go to school • Girls are forced in labor

  9. Non aged classes • Not in the right age • Ex: when you are 7th grade you are in 4th

  10. Not proper education • Still concern in education • Not relevant to their education in future • Mostly minority group problem

  12. Other problems • Many children dropping out in mid and high • 1 million have no birth registration documents • Many sex workers in Thailand are under age or in labor

  14. How these problems happen • Mainly poverty • Less schools built • Don’t care about child’s life

  15. Thailand overview • Great country • Rich culture • Ancient history • Beautiful nature • But many gaps in their education

  16. Local Solution • Unicef, Unesco Hope are trying to help by giving kids money to go to school • They are trying to build more teacher schools • Thai government has meeting ever week how to get better education
