Oven / Support structure • Installed the new oven earlier • Installed the new heaters and RTDs • UNFORTUNATELY, the structure was BROKEN near the bottom of the air flow tube • GOOD NEWS===the oven is still safe and fine • The new structure is being designed • Waiting on it !! (within 4-6 weeks) Many thanks to Al and Susan

Optics • New 5 to 1 combiners tested • Found problems in a few and sent back to the vendor • New 75 meter fibers (qty=10) tested • Except couple of them, all look good ! • All of them to be installed in the Hall in summer • The Optics line design to be worked on shortly • Simulation to be done shortly before that

  5. Software • Combine the spin-flip lab view code with NMR signal analysis and EPR measurement 1. NMR frequency sweep signal can be extracted and fitted after every spin-flip. Provide quick & continuous cell polarization monitoring. 2. EPR measurement can be controlled automatically by spin-flip program during every spin-flip, also can be controlled manually without affecting the main program. 3. Add counter connected to FG to monitor the frequency sweep process which is crucial to spin-flip. The reading rate from counter by lab view can be at 3-4Hz without interrupting the main spin-flip process. • Spin polarization status(+/-) can be monitored continuously by a TTL output signal of the FG together with ADC and scalar. The record of Labview can communicate with EPICS as a complementary method to check the spin status • All of the software programs will be fully tested after the installation

  6. Real Tests • The oven to be tested • Laser alignment • NMR/EPR/SPIN FLIP to be tested • All the new related softwares to be tested accordingly • Water field and frequency sweep to be tried • New vertical coil to be tested in the new lab • BB field mapping at some point (?)
