  2. FRJA Rule 2.516 • Service of Pleadings and Documents • Service must be by Electronic Mail [eMail] unless excused by the Court • PDF version of documents filed must be included in eMail NEF

  3. Business Rules • The portal will provide e-Service to an attorney of record in a case beginning with the first document electronically filed by that attorney through the portal to that case. • An attorney may specify up to three eMail addresses per case which may be different than their profile eMail addresses. • The e-Service list will be maintained by the Portal. • The Clerk and the Judiciary will have access to the e-Service case list through a Web Service.

Goals • eFiler • Provide eMail service of documents electronically filed • Add up to 3 eMail addresses per case • Update /delete those eMail addresses when necessary • Add other eMail addresses to the e-Service list • Receive notification of any undeliverable eMail • Case Participants • Receive e-Service of documents filed to an existing case • eMail NEF is sent to e-Service list when document submitted to the Portal • Edit/Maintain their eMail addresses as necessary, by case – by attorney – when they file electronically to the case

Goals • List the cases that are linked to the filer • Clerk Case Number - hyperlink to Maintain e-Service List • List is in Case Number order • Ability change case number order • Ability to save order preference • UCN Case Number - hyperlink to CCIS and docket sheet • Docket Sheet is a link to the electronic documents in the file • Show the current e-Service List for each case • Add eMail addresses to the e-Service list • Delete eMail addresses from the e-Service list • Remove me from the e-Service List for this case • Portal sends eMail to the e-Service list advising that John Attorney was removed from the e-Service list for this case • Mark Case as Active or Inactive – filter cases on the page • Always maintain access to all cases
