  2. Test Tomorrow – 5 objectives I CAN solve equations: -one step equations -two step equations -solve equations with combining like terms -solve equations with distribution -solve equations with variables on both sides

  3. Let’s Review • Equations are math sentences • The solution makes the sentence TRUE • We solve for a variable by ISOLATING the variable • Use inverse operations or UNDO each operation

  4. Let’s review some more -Like terms – have the same variable. We can add the coefficients -Distribution – think of the party. To get in the party you must dance with everybody -Variables on both sides – get the variables to one side and the numbers to the other -Fractions – multiply every term by the least common denominator

  5. Examples to practice tonight • Pg. 132 #17, 27 • Pg 138 #13, 19 • Pg 146 #25, 27 • Pg 153 #17, 19, 23, 25, 27, 29
