  3. Content • Features • Frame • Tine • Rear equipment • Technical data • Main arguments

  4. Working width: 4.00 – 5.00 – 6.00 m CTC Depth control

  5. CTC – 3 or 4 rows of tines (same frame) • Shallow or deep, very versatile • structure which can get all configurations (max depth 30.cm) • Tines bolted to the frame so that nbr. of tines and spacing can be modified by the user if necessary: • - 3 rows, 270 mm spacing • - 3 rows, 330 mm spacing • - 4 rows, 200 mm spacing • In 3 rows configuration the big distance between the bars (1,50m) offers a clearance which makes pass through big amount of straw very easy ensuring blockage free operations 1500 mm • 3 rows – 270 mm • 4 rows – 200 mm

  6. 2 folding sections:- easy adjustment- less maintenance- low centre of gravity for safe transport CTC – Folding

  7. CTC – Linkage options Cross shaft Cat.III and IV Fix eye ø 50 mm Pivoting pulling eye ø 50 mm All hooking options are arranged with a parallel lifting system by replacing the front telescopic of the drawbar by a cylinder. CTC is then very flexible in attachement to all tractors Ball coupling ø 80 mm

  8. CTC – Safe transport Low center of gravity The design of the carrier system allow the CTC to be lowered in transport position so that center of gravity is low and machine is not balancing. The carrier cylinder is accumulator loaded for a smooth and stable transport. Pneumatic or hydraulic brakes system are available to comply with all local road regulations Safe lock Quick in the field , quick on the road. Automatic hydraulic safe lock system. The lock is automatically released when opening the machine as the hook cylinder is linked to the main hydraulic hoses.

  9. CTC tine – Bolted tine holder • The CLC line is getting as a standard the bolted tine holder for all models. • Benefit: • easy to take few tines away when using the CLC models as loosener • less welding on main frame is more reliable and giving the all structure a longer life time.

  10. CTC tine – High clearance • the high under beam clearance of 870mm is ensuring blockage free operation 870.mm

  11. CTC tine – Maintenance free zone • well proven simple and robust design with no grease nipple at all = low maintenance (due to heat treatment by cementation no wearing between the parts, no greasing necessary) • Unique leg design made out of a tube enabling the C shank to move side ways +/- 14 cm with the short tine, and +/-20 cm with the long tine, each side, thus reporting less stress to the structure • light weight concept, complete tine is only 35kg. • User friendly technology 35 kg 70x40mm

  12. α CTC tine – Special angle • Always the best penetration ability in all soil • The power demand and the fuel consumption are limited. • point is working by lifting the ground to make a perfect cracking of the top layer • the upper part is doing an intensive mixing also with low power demand due to its receding shape. • Benefit: • This particular angle design offering 2 distinct front lines is avoiding to flick poorer soil back on top of the ground, interesting when such cultivator equipment will be used for preparing seedbed in one pass. 2 1

  13. CTC tine - Flexibility • All parts of the tines are heat treated, providing • an extraordinary reliability and long life • Extraordinary vibration capacity providing • intensive crumbling. • Unique leg design made out of a tube • enabling the C shank to move side ways +/- 14 cm • with the short tine, and +/-20 cm with the long tine, • each side, thus reporting less stress to the structure • This technique is also allowing to use lighter • material, in order to save lifting capacity and • pulling requirement • Here is a tine in our laboratory showing how far it • can flex. The side pulling force to go up to 20 cm is • 1,200kg. The tine holder stays in place, just the leg • is flexing due to the heat treated tube

  14. CTC tine - Flexibility

  15. CTC tine – Auto-reset 640.kg • Benefit: • Higher pressure, at 5cm for a total of 640.kg interesting when hard dry soil • Frame protected all the time • Unique on the market : the release force decreases when the release height increase

  16. CTC tine – Shear bolted leg • The shear bolt leg design is providing a Vibromat effect • Benefit: • higher pressure at the point with 2T to ensure a clean breaking of the bolt • Vibromat effect: the tine being made from a tube is flexible enough to allow the point to trip 10 cm back before the bolt is breaking. In that way the Vibromat is is avoiding too frequent breakage even being only shearbolted • This short tine can still go 14cm sideways around obstacles, reporting less stress to the tine holder and frame • Shearbolt and Leaf spring pack can be combined, so that the spring pack will get 2T pressure also before releasing, interesting in very heavy soils to keep the tines in and avoiding the driver to change the bolt immediately. • longer life time

  17. CLC tines: high quality and low cost wearing parts made in Kverneland CTC tine – Bolted shares • Standard share 60mm • reversible plough share • low cost • quality heat treatment • Standard share + 300mm wing • adapted to shallow working depth • good boiling effect • quality heat treatment

  18. CLC tine – 10’’ Fast and easy metal change KO 320 Quantum 345mm + KO 80 KO 360 KO 150 KO 250 KO 80 • Multiple combinations of shares and deflectors can be fitted to the CLC tine to get optimum result whatever the soil conditions. • Full range of shares available to match with all tine spacing from 200 to 360 mm • Easy adptation to depth to minimize fuel consumption • Only a hammer and a wedge needed • Get more details in the separate Knock-on Presentation

  19. CLC tine – Carbide equipment Dorset Tiger point 80mm • 2 dimensions : 80mm and 150 mm • Compatible with all Knock-on deflector and Quantum share 345mm • Exteremely long life • Resist against stony conditions • Low power consumption required due to the progressive shape Dorset Tiger point 150mm

  20. CTC – levelling equipment • Levelling disc on parallelogram • Rubber spring loaded, to follow the ground and protect • Standard border disc • Disc linked to the roller via a parallelogram, so that when • changing working depth with the roller the disc will stay at same • optimum position for levelling • Easy adjustment via turnbuckle to set up position of the disc • Levelling tines mounted on parallelogram: • Spring loaded tines • Easy adjustment via turnbuckle to set up aggressiveness by pivoting the tines • Standard border tines • Tines linked directly to the roller frame, so that when • changing working depth with the roller the tines will stay at same • optimum position for levelling

  21. CTC – Disc equipment • Double disc gang  510 mm • Position controlled with pins • Parallelogram to obtain the best possible work • Easy angle adjustment with bolts. • Does a good mixing and incorporation • Not compatible with rollers • Leaves a rough surface with aggregates ready for wintering, interesting at the end of autumn season for preparing spring fields and crops

  22. CTC – Disc equipment • New Combi disc: • Combination of a single disc gang with all roller type • intensive mixing and incorporation, well adapted to high amount • of residues • Very good levelling capacity • Hydraulic setting of the disc gang • Pair of border disc as standard • New bearing holder clamped to the beam to slide gangs for fine tuning • New angle adjustment allowing full depth of the parallelogram system

  23. CTC range – Rollers • Actipack roller  560 mm • Make it as aggressive as you want • Skid and knives between discs clean even in wet conditions. The knives are cutting bigger clods coming in the disc spacing of 12,5cm leaving a ready seedbed • Knives pressure can be adjusted as high as the disc pressure to the ground to make equal pressure through the working width to achieve a nice and firm seedbed, and can also be put in a non working position to leave a rough ground surface with more clods (weather protected) • 3 different positions of the knives aggressiveness are proposed + 1 “OFF” position. They are adjusted thanks to the long spanner • Can work with or without knives • No limitation in stony conditions • Discs with aggressive notched shape to ensure good driving • Maintenance free bearings with 5 lips labyrinth sealing system + steel protection cover

  24. 27. CTC - Front Discs

  28. CTC – Front Mixing & Cutting disc (FMD/FCD) Based onto the disc system of the Kverneland Accord MSC drill, Kverneland has developed a row of disc to cut and incorporate residues in front of the cultivators. Depth is adjusted with an infinite screw, and each disc is rubber protected. Only available on 3 row of tines models. Front Cutting Disc (FCD) To make sure a cultivator is going through any kind of residues, nothing better than a cutting disc in front. The FCD is equipped with sharp straight disc mounted in front of the first row of tine. Maize residues are cut and the disc is opening the way for the tine through the trashes to avoid blockages. Front Mixing Disc (FMD) To coop with high amount of straw laying on stubble and insure good mixing by the tines the FMD system is pressing the straw down and throwing some soil on top of it so that the tines can easily incorporate it.
