Presentation of B.S.P.SH. • Established at 20 March 1991 • in the middle of the fire against communist system • The General strike of 16 May 1991 made possible the debacle of dictatorial regiment in Albania • It is the most important confederation in our country which fights for peace, stability and for the social progress conditions of the Albanian workers • In its politics is abstained in social dialogue, with the strategy: Dialogue – Protestation Protestation - Dialogue

B.S.P.SH Negotiation • Through Collective and Individual negotiation has done possible the solution of social problems at national, regional and enterprise level. • In both public and private sectors it negotiate for the freedom and human rights protection, decent wages, safety and health conditions • BSPSH has undersigned : • 18 Collective Agreements at national level • 250 Agreements at second level • Act-agreements with Albanian Government

International Relations • At June 2002 it was accepted with full rights member at ITUC • At March 2007 it was accepted like observer at ETUC • 18 Trade Union Federations are members of respective International and European Trade Unions • Very good relations with ILO • Strategically Allied are: • AFL-CIO • Solidarinost • Italian Confederations: CISL, CGIL, UIL • BSPK

Structure • Congress is highest organ of BSPSH • Is hold every 5 years • Approve the Statute • Its politics at national and international level • Its structures • General Assembly of BSPSH • It takes place 2 times/year • Have 103 members • National Council – every month • 18 trade Union Federations of Professions • 120 000 members

Priorities • The main priorities of BSPSH is the work with: • Youth • Increasing the capacities of young leaders • Recruiting new young members • We made a new program focused to the young people or students that has just finished their studies to be involved in professional practices in enterprises, public institutions or private sector so this category will have the right to have a good experience for a long term employed. • Women • Improving the Labour Code and Albanian Legislation • Providing legal protection to the members
