Current Draft • draft-ietf-lemonade-goals-00.txt is consolidation of • draft-wong-umcli-02.txt + • draft-stebrose-mmsarch-00.txt • summary of additional material • brief survey of separate development of cellular messaging • Considerations for interoperation with existing handheld wireless environment • Push notification and delivery • E.164 addressing • Operator admin support jkwong@nortelnetworks.com

Current Draft • reflect charter scope/clean up • Restriction of enhancements to IMAP4 • Deliverables • Multimedia streaming • Forward without download • IMAP support for diverse service environments • Message format for message notifications to servers and delivery mechanism • E-mail service via enhanced Internet Mail to wireless handhelds either directly or interworking with MMS • Clean-up • Removal of references to “unified mail” • Excising of tutorial aspects and a compressed historical survey jkwong@nortelnetworks.com

Issues • reflect charter scope • Tighter specification of IMAP enhancement for limited capability clients (not just wireless handhelds) • Tighter specification of requirements for notifications format and mechanism • Degree of IMAP support for interworking with MMS • Need for more detailed architectural description or separate architectural document • Editorial • Structure, wording, nits • Please provide suggested replacement text or alternatives to existing approach as appropriate jkwong@nortelnetworks.com
