School Wide Student Learning Objective 2012-2013 Mutually agreed upon by Faculty and Administration at the faculty meeting on 9/5/12 Goal Specifics: Through the introduction of student goal setting within the advisory program at HDHS, the global failure rate for 2012-2013 will be reduced by 10% from last year’s failure rate. In the 2011-2012 school year our students were enrolled in 3296 courses, of those courses 349 resulted in a failing grade for a global failure rate of 10.6%. Successfully meeting our SLO will result in a global failure rate of no more than 9.5%

  6. - By August 27th we as a faculty will have in place a consistent and rigorous policy regarding tardies; to include specific consequences and procedure for data collection. • - We will, by June , 2014, have planned and implemented one cross-curricular lesson/ activity that shows higher DOK and real-world application. Specific - Communication and Accountability and Rigor – Everyone do a cross curricular lesson Measurable - Document collaboration, planning and assessment Attainable - PREP time, sub coverage, Higher DOK, Real World Realistic - Natural connections, DECA written project, Robots/Cost Analysis, Speed Dating Time Bound - By June, 2014 • - We will collaborate to develop a set of consistent school-wide academic expectations to increase student accountability and achievement - Time Management - Organization - Personal Responsibilities • - We will develop a sliding scale responsible learner rubric for four years of high school in order to improve student and faculty accountability and consistency. • - to increase the consistency of faculty implementation of expectations, policies and procedures designed to promote a positive school that embraces academic excellence.
