  1. School Policy Issues • Small Bags: • As written in the student handbook “Girls may carry small purses.” The purse should be no bigger than the size of a folded piece of paper. Anything larger than that must be placed in your locker. • Sports Bags: • Phys Ed clothing must be taken to the Phys Ed room first thing in the morning. If you cannot get there before homeroom please ask a team teacher to let you take your stuff down with a pass. • If sports bags are being used for something else, then they must be placed in your lockers. As always no backpacks! • Cell Phones/MP3’S(IPods)/Cameras: • They must be out of site once you are in the school building. Please turn them off and place them in your locker. You may not have cameras with you during the school day! If you have one they will be taken and a parent will have to come in to pick it up. • Weapons/BB Guns/Shanking: • Just a reminder that weapons (Guns, BB guns, Air Soft Guns, Knives, etc.) are not permitted on school grounds. If found you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent. • Shanking- Seems like it is fun to stab people with pencils. Well unfortunately for those that think it is fun…it is also an assault with a weapon. If we run across these incidents we will prosecute as much as the district and law will allow. • Gum: • No Gum- in the classrooms, computer labs, office, hallways, gym, or bathrooms! If a staff member asks you to spit it out…then spit it out. If you refuse or put another piece in, then that is defiance which means they may keep you for detention.

  2. School Policies Cont’d • Outside Trash Cans: • There are now outside trash cans. PLEASE USE THEM! • The outside of our school is a reflection of our school, please keep our school clean outside, as well as, inside. • Stair Usage: • Please be aware that when you use the stairs there is actually a proper way to go up and down them: • Do not Run! • Stay on the Right Hand side when Going Up and Going Down the stairs! • Please use the closest stairwell to the room you are leaving, however please follow the procedures above when using that stairwell. • Exiting the Building: • The only students that should be in the building after the afternoon announcements are students receiving help from a teacher, performing arts, after-school program students, detention, or athletic participants. You are not allowed to wait for friends or just hang out. You must leave the building if you are not involved with any of those situations above. Please be aware that failure to do so could result in disciplinary action. • Tardy/Absences: • You must have excuses when you are absent our late to school. Numerous unexcused absences or tardies can result in: • Fines • Detentions
