  1. Family Guy presentation By Raice Bassett and Josh Tweed

  2. Primary Research Fourteen people took the survey The type of research we did was Primary, because we conducted the research ourselves. The kind of data we obtained was Quantitative Data because we are able to put it into graphs. The results were unreliable because we only asked Media people from the age of 16 – 21 this isn’t representative of the whole population. Thirteen (93%) of the Fourteen people liked Family Guy But one (7%) of the Fourteen didn’t like it The most popular Character through the research we carried out was Stewie Griffin.

  3. Introduction to Family Guy • Family Guy first aired on the 21st of September 1999 this was on a Sunday and started at 10 pm . • The creator of Family Guy is Seth MacFarlane. • We chose this show because we both watch it and also know quite a lot about it this means we’re not having to find out everything from scratch. It’s also a show that we both enjoy watching.

  4. Family Guy Secondary Research • We found the results of the secondary research on the internet using websites such as www.Barb.co.uk and also www.Skillset.org • To find the information on Barb we checked the top 10 programs for BBC3 and then we selected the the date, this then listed the top 10 programs for that date and channel. We also used skillset to find out information on different roles that people do in the making of Family Guy and also a description of what they had to do to get there. • The viewing figures for Family Guy on Thursday 30th of September 2012 was 1,108,000 people • The viewing figures on Tuesday 25th of September 2012 was 625,000 people • The viewing figures on Thursday 27th of September 2012 was 622,000 people • The viewing figures on Sunday 23rd of September 2012 was 1,166,000 people • The viewing figures on Wednesday 19th September 2012 was 690,000 people • We didn’t find anything surprising about this because we both know that the show is popular so we expected them to have quite high viewing figures.

  5. Typical audience member • The Age of the audience is any age from 16 +. Mainly the age group is from 16 – 25 this is because the time of the show is late therefore unsuitable for people working and the type of humor used is adult and is not suitable for younger viewers. • The show is for both male and female viewers. However I would suggest that it is mainly males who watch the show because of the type of language and humor used. • The Class that watch this show is both Lower and Middle but in my opinion is watched by the middle class because of the type of language and humor used • Family Guy is suitable for all ethnicities because it represents different ethnic groups on the show • Family Guy appeals to all sexualities of because there is different sexualities that appear in the show
