  1. Warm-up: Connecting Systems • Which two human systems are connected at the alveoli, and which important molecules pass in/out of the alveoli? The respiratory and circulatory systems are connected here, where oxygen (coming in) diffuses into the capillaries and carbon dioxide (going out) diffuses into the lungs. • Which two human systems are connected at the villi, and which important molecules pass in/out of the villi? The digestive and circulatory systems are connected here, where glucose diffuses into the capillaries. 3. Once these molecules (from questions 1 & 2) arrive in your cells, what process happens? What do your cells gain from this process that allows them to function? Cellular Respiration. The cells gain Energy from this process.
