AIWW / IWW Overview in Jacksonville District • Jacksonville District has authorization to maintain all 370.9 miles of the AIWW and IWW. • Divided into reaches, typically by County. • Dredging is determined via condition surveys to determine where the most significant shoaling is occurring. • Federal Channel with a “low use shallow draft” designation = No Federal funding. • FIND will be taking the lead until Jacksonville District receives additional Congressional Adds. • Corps will not even be able to perform condition surveys.

  7. FY 11 President’s Budget $350K. Caretaker Activities – real estate activities, condition surveys, environmental activities. Completed dredging in the Matanzas Reach with Contributed Funds from FIND and Bakers Haulover reach with Federal funding. Completed construction of DMMA MSA 641 with ARRA funds and Contributed funds from FIND. Initiated construction of DMMA IR 2 with Contributed Funds from FIND.
