  3. After moving out of his parents house Malcolm moved to Boston In 1943 he moved to NY City and became a drug dealer, gambling, and robbery. He later recalled that he put on a display to avoid the draft by telling the examining officer that he could not wait to "steal us some guns, and kill us [some] crackers. Young Adult Years

  4. After he got out of prison Malcolm changed his religion to the Nation of Islam. When in the religion Malcolm changed his surname to X. For me, my 'X' replaced the white slavemaster name of 'Little' which some blue-eyed devil named Little had imposed upon my paternal forebears. Religion

  5. Marriage • On January 14 1958 Malcolm married Betty X Nee Sanders. • They had been friends for about a year and she suspected that he was thinking about marriage. • After his marriage Malcolm had six daughters and one of them was named after him after his assassination.

  6. International traveler • On April 13, 1964, Malcolm X departed JFK Airport in New York for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. • When Malcolm X visited Africa he mad public speeches on television explaining the discrimination and hatred towards colored people. • While in Europe Malcolm spoke in London to discuss the right in America. Malcolm tried to go to France but he was refused entry.
