  4. OTHER ACADEMY ELECTIVES STUDENTS MUST CHOOSE A MINIMUM OF 2 OF THE FOLLOWING: • Advanced Business Technology • Banking and Finance • Entrepreneurship • Cooperative Education More courses will be added as program grows.

  5. OTHER ELECTIVES Band Chorus Drama Dance Piano Art JROTC Psychology Current Events Fashion Design Law & Society Food & Nutrition Foreign Language African American Literature Students will be allowed to take the above electives with the regular population.

  7. Academy Grading • The academy will follow the same grading system as the regular population. However, once students falls below a 2.25 GPA they will be reviewed for possible transitioning back into the regular population.

  8. Business & Finance Academy The academy is a school within a school. Students who are identified as not benefitting from the Academy can be transitioned back into the regular population without bureaucracy.

Academy Expectations Parents • Check progress reports • Responsible for student’s punctuality and attendance • Support classroom & school discipline policies • Provide school supplies • Ensure student is properly dressed daily • Provide guidance to ensure student’s success • Celebrate student’s successes • Attend parent meetings

  10. Academy Expectations Student • Do your best in class • Work hard • Complete and return homework • Attend school regularly • Bring needed school supplies • Obey all student conduct rules (discipline, attendance, uniforms)

MISSION STATEMENT “The Academy of Business and Finance of Williamson High School will produce graduates who are prepared to enter any post secondary educational institution while also preparing them to move directly into the workforce. We as the faculty and staff will accomplish this by ensuring that all students are challenged in an effort to help them maximize their potential. Students will graduate with clear, tangible, and attainable plans and goals.”
