  3. How We See Itinerant Work Collaboration with Teachers One on One therapy Assisting children who are D/HH so they can be in a classroom with their peers Role model for everyone else involved with the student Enjoyment and Fulfillment Constant learning experience for us
  4. PROS & CONS Not in one classroom all day Traveling Work with a variety of children No formal lesson plans Fewer students = less paperwork No bulletin boards One on One services Not enough time with each student Traveling Managing the schedule(s) Wear and tear on your car Stress level : Living by the clock When absent – feel guilty that there is no sub When weather is bad, it can be a terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad day!
  5. Scheduling Have to be flexible Be able to manage time well Look at your route(s) of travel and students schedules Have a paper calendar as well as a digital calendar Make schedules for all of your schools Be ready to change your schedule at any moment!

  10. Don’t Leave Home Without… Paper (ruled, colored, cardstock, etc) Pens, pencils, markers, glue, sharpie’s, post it notes, dry erase markers, highlighter, scissors, stickers Phone numbers Sweater/Jacket Umbrella

  12. Basic Troubleshooting Encouraging F.M. use with teachers Working with audiologist Collaborating with teachers and staff Start small with the intent to go BIG! Including the other students in the classroom
