  3. A Custom Linux Boot CD Introduction: • Experience: Built Katyalix Linux Live CD from Knoppix using bash scripting in 2006 • http://katyalix.sourceforge.net • This Project: Build a new Linux Live CD from Ubuntu using new tools developed in the past 2 years

Cogent Linux Goals: • Primary Goal: to create a custom built Linux boot CD based on Ubuntu Linux • Secondary Goals: include theme and package customizations and specifically include my own gdm login screen from: http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/ubuntu+black+gdm+login?content=73364 • Tertiary Goals: Enable 3D Desktop

  22. Cogent Linux Conclusion: • Remastersys is does not work • Reconstructor is an excellent tool for creating custom Linux live CDs • Ubuntu Customization Kit remains untested...
