  2. DOI’s EA Program is a Service Provider to our Business and IT communities and therefore must be responsive to our customers’ needs.

As a Service Provider, DOI’s EA Program Engages it’s Investment Review Board in Selecting Business Areas to Architect • Ensures the EA Program is responsive to the Department’s Priorities • EA Program provides analytical services to support selection • Improves likelihood of business participation and overall success of segment architectures

  4. DOI’s EA Program also provides Business Transformation Services on a Fee-For-Service Basis to DOI Programs • Provides PMO type Services for EA • Leverages Proven Methodology • Provides Quality Control • Provides Acquisition Support of EA Services • Integrates Final Deliverables with DOI’s EA.

Delivering Measurable Results: Recreation.gov The PMA Initiative Recreation One Stop took a major step forward with the implementation and deployment of the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS). The NRRS is featured at the all new Recreation.gov and provides one-stop shopping for the citizen’s recreation needs.

  15. 15 ADS and business analysis services were delivered to architect RecML, a recreation related XML language. RecML is being used to serve citizens through Recreation.gov and for serving federal data to external users through Recdata.gov. DOI has identified key lessons learned to improve its EA Value Measurement Framework • Less is More • Pick key measures that truly gauge value from stakeholder viewpoint • Ensure Measures are Holistic • Select meaningful measures in all 3 phases: Completion, Use and Results and/or Architect, Invest, Implement • Where feasible, assess Customer Satisfaction on EA Value at Conclusion of Service Delivery • Survey Business Owners & other Stakeholders at conclusion of EA Segment Architecture
