  2. Proposed legislation • Emergency Management Plans • Schools must have an EMP 1. Review with 1stresponders 2. Review revisions with staff 3. Conduct the 4 emergency response drills during the first 30 days of school…and then again in January. **Report to KDE via ASSIST 4. EMP not subject to Open Records Law • Access Control • Perimeter Lockdown • Interior “perpetual lockdown” • Control front entrance.

Proposed legislation • Establish primary and secondary evacuation routes • Review Safe Zones with Fire Marshall’s office • KRS 610.345 school notification of transferring youthful offenders. • Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design= CPTED • All visitors must sign in with proper ID and be issued a visitor’s badge
