  8. Private investors are well-suited to field building investments, but not because we have tons of cash. We have fewer people to please = “we can always put kids first” We have (more) patient capital = “our results are not framed by election cycles” We can afford to take risks = “we can invest in new ideas and unheard voices”

  9. Private investors are also uniquely placed to help build this particular field. Heavy private provision of services all over the world Increasing corporate engagement / economic productivity links Natural bridge between businesses and institutions involved in social policy

  13. Vision 2050 In any country you visit in the world, you can find a group of well-organized private investors concerned with young children. There is a well recognized set of global ambassadors from a variety of fields who champion the rights of young children such as David Brooks, James Heckman, maybe your founder or someone like Bernard van Leer who never let a PR opportunity pass him by without talking about children. Whenever there is a crisis, a major budget negotiation or a global political moment, these 1,000 investors can quickly pool USD 75 million – in 2050 dollars - to make sure young children’s interest are strongly represented.
