  2. I gave this internship 4 ½ stars. I loved the staff, everybody was great friendly and always interested in helping me. Through this internship I learned how to work with sponsors and got freedom and learned to handle my work and tasks independently. I got to see events being planned from the ground up.

  3. Pictures!

  4. Try and remember people’s names at meetings some of them are really important for Texas A&M and sports. Ask questions because most likely they will not tell you all of the stuff going on in the office because they have their own stuff to worry about. Find out the dates of events. Make sure to keep current contact lists for everything volunteers and other important people. Words of Wisdom

  5. Internship Objectives • Strengthen Bryan-College Station’s image as a premier destination for sporting events • Assist the local Parks and Recreation Departments and sports organizations in their outreach and marketing to ensure that the maximum number of sports events are brought to the area. • Increase the number of sports related events maximizing usage of available facilities and hotel properties.

  6. No day is the same at the CVB. Some day I will just be writing emails and talking to people all day. Other days I spent having meetings with the City board or the Brazos Valley Sports Board. Also had lots of meetings with restaurants in Bryan-College Station. There are opportunities to work hotel events and other types of events around the city. Summary of Daily Activities

  7. Project Description • The AJGA is a golf tournament ages 12-18. It will be held at Traditions Club April 4th-8th. I developed ways to get volunteers, schedule and controlled them. I also planned for the sponsored meals and created various relationships with restaurants around Bryan- College Station. I conducted meetings with these restaurants to establish meals for the volunteers, staff and athletes during the tournament. I also created a coupon book and a facility guide with all the sports facilities.
