Introduction to ICCE • ICCE is a global body with regional characteristics • ICCE curriculum is a fixed structure • Regional distinctions can be accommodated • University requirements • Government requirements • Each region differs in its approach to education • Each region have to abide by different state requirements

  15. Staff Involvement Coordinator • Each school must have one • Contact person • Does admin around ICCE • Keeps record of registration • Marks tests • Keeps record of results • Senior Learning Centre Supervisor

  16. Staff Involvement Moderator • Marks 2 out of 12 tests for second time • Fills in report that goes to Regional Office • Only 4% difference allowed • Can be a staff member or person outside of school • Both need to be trained • Oversees marking procedures

  17. Getting Started • Start latest Gr 9 – not recommended • Preferably thoroughbred (or start at least at Gr 8) 2013: May start at Intermediate Level if ACE student from at least Gr. 9

Registration Process • Request an ICCE Registration Application form (from website) • Pay the non-refundable Application Fee • Receive and complete ICCE Registration form (via email) • Satisfy all ICCE registration requirements (information to follow) – Provisionally Registered (payment ) • Receive ICCE Starter Pack • Apply for ICCE training (payment) • Train necessary staff members (Coordinator & Moderator) • Register students with certificate projection (payment)
