  8. CBS Children’s Program • All CBS day classes have Children’s programs, and the CBS model for day classes factors the help of its members into the running of the program. • Each core group is assigned to serve 3 times in the Children’s program. • All class members are asked to serve when your core group is assigned. You are helpers, not teachers. • Exceptions: women who are physically unable to serve.

  9. Jesus said “Let the little children come to Me…” Matt. 19:14

  10. Website: raleigh.cbsclass.org • Teaching portion put online after class. • CDs of the teaching can be made for $.50 each or $15 for the entire 30 weeks. • Please let your core leader know before class if you would like a CD, so she can inform Lisa, our secretary.

  11. CBS Policies • If Wake County Schools are delayed or closed due to inclement weather, CBS will be canceled. • No children are permitted to be in the hallways unsupervised. • Children/siblings NOT enrolled in CBS are not allowed to come to CBS, unless they are enrolled in the Mothers’ Morning In Program.

  13. Registration and Visitors • Registration is ongoing and visitors are welcome any day EXCEPT Snack Fellowship days. • Your visitor may sit with you during the opening, then she will stay with me during core group time when I will present the CBS program to her and she will have the opportunity to sign up. She may join you again during the lecture. • Visitors CANNOT BRING CHILDREN!

  14. Contributions • The mission of Community Bible Study is to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through caring, in-depth Bible study, available to all. • The ministries of CBS include programs serving adults, children, students, prison inmates, and special needs individuals; our curriculum is available in the languages of class members on every continent around the globe.CBS ministry is supported through your contributions. • Class registration fees provide less than one quarter of the financial resources needed to operate the ministry. Each individual class, as well as the ministry as a whole, is financially supported through the generous contributions of class members and alumni. Your additional tax deductible gift will help us to continue to bring the Word of God to communities across the United States and around the world.

  15. Contributions continued: • A recent change: The IRS now allows any giving over the $25 registration fee to be tax deductible. • To take advantage of the tax deduction, please place your donations to Community Bible Study (check or cash) in one of CBS’ contribution envelopes filled out with your information on the front. CBS will send you a receipt for your donation. • 2 envelopes will be passed each week– one for the CBS ministry and one to support our children’s ministry. Please give as you feel led.

  16. Please read Welcome letter at home…

  17. Guidelines: • Commitment: please make attendance a priority! • Out of consideration for others: • Please turn off your cell phone or put it on vibrate. • We refrain from discussion of denominations, individual churches, pastors, TV personalities & programs and POLITICS in our core groups. • We ask that there be no distribution of tracts, books, flyers or advertisements and that there be no group solicitations of our members for promoting or selling products.

  18. Guidelines continued: • Please don’t forward emails. • No perfume – because we have a few ladies with severe allergies. • We refrain from gift giving to each other, but notes and cards of appreciation are always welcome!
