  42. My Conclusions? • DAG-TM is Right On • Constituents will Have To Grow in a Balanced Manner • Comm is the Single Biggest, Easiest to Overlook Element in “CNS/ATM” -- FREE FLIGHT • Market Forces will Extend “DAG-TM” at least Two Levels to Build Planet-Wide FREE FLIGHT

  43. My Conclusions? • Three Powerful Forces are Creating a Global AIR COMMERCE SYSTEM • True SERVICE Industry Will Emerge • IP Juggernaut is Cheap, Maturing, and Here! • Customers Will Ride IP into the Plane

  44. Customer Thirst for Connection is Insatiable • There Will Be Customer-Oriented Wired and Wireless IP LAN(s)... • There Will Be Customer-Oriented Wireless Internet Connection • Airborne • Ground • There will be (already are!) Customer PANS

  45. It’s the Service (Stupid)! • No More Lip Service • Hiring Practices • Training • BUSINESS PROCESSES BEHIND IT ALL!

  46. My Recommendations? • Be Aware of Market Forces! • They are Gargantuan • Don’t Fight ‘em - Join ‘em…. Judo Paradigm • Educate Ourselves and Industry Players & MANAGEMENT • Connect the silos… • Or break them down • Think even bigger than we have been - Customer Focus • Work to Improve Certification • Cannot afford to keep sacrificing SAFETY in the name of SAFETY
