Kozlov (VNIIKI) were created and developed: • Standard Data Tables; • Recommended Data Queries; • State Standardization Methods. • At the 22nd Conference of the Interstate Council on Standardization, Metrology and Certification were accepted Amendments to State Standard #30319 «Natural gas.Methods of Physical parameters calculations». • In the framework of “Lotus Notes” the«Bank of Experimental Data on Thermal Characteristics of Gases and Liquids» was created, including the data of experimental research of thermal parameters of techniclally important stuffs and materials Moscow, September 2006

Schmidt Institute of Physics of the Earth • Institute of Physics of the Earth named after Otto Schmidtof the Russian Academy of Sciences (IPE RAS) is one of the largest geophysical research center of the world. It was founded in 1928. • Institute plays an important role in: • Research of physical processes the Earth interior, • Working out Earth dynamics models and models of the Earth structure, • Researching seismic activity and earthquakes’ physics, • Development of mathematical geophysics and geoinformatics • Developing theory and computer technologies of geophysical data interpretation. • Specialists of IPE RAS are: • Studying physical fields of the Earth, and matters of paleomagnetism and magnetic parameters the Earth structures, • Working out methods of geophysical monitoring for forecasting natural and man-caused calamities, • Researching problems of the Earth origin, dealing with mathematical geophysics and geoinformatics, • Creating databases on solid Earth physics, solar and Earth physics and geoecology. Taking advantage on traditional interest of Russian "pure" mathematicians to the applied problems, the Institute is built up on the direct involvement of the world-class mathematicians like L.Kantorovich, I.Gelfand, Ya.Sinai and their schools. • The Institute is known for pioneering results in the fields of earthquake prediction, seismic risk, verification of compliance to nuclear test ban treaty, structure of the Earth, exploration of mineral deposits, signal processing, wave propagation, geophysical fluid dynamics, magnetic dynamo. • Most recent is the application of the concept of chaos to the dynamics of the lithosphere. This approach led to development of earthquake prediction algorithms, and to a new understanding of instability of large systems in general; pote ntial applications range from geological disasters to megacities and socio-economic systems. • Since 1960 the faculty of the Institute maintained co-operation with the leading research institutions from more than 20 countries. Mendeleev All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Metrology(VNIIM) • General Info: The Institute has succeeded to the General Board of Weights and Measures, the first in Russia and one of the oldest world state metrological establishments. • To date VNIIM is the main organization dealing with fundamental research in metrology. It has the statusof the State Scientific Centre of RF. • The main objective is to ensure the unity of measurements on the international level basing on the state standards of physical units.   23. WISTCIS: “New methods of working for Information Society Technologies Programme Promotion to Commonwealth of Independent States”. 2000-2003.
