Technology – Fields of survey • Process always implies heating • Conventional heating or aseptic processing • Alternatives are: high pressures, electric pulses, irradiation • New products has doubled the demand in the last six years • Quality and prices of the raw materials -> AGRUPACIÓN • New Ingredients • New packages • They are using tetra-brick, and glass • Demand: High quality and cheap PET or any other plastic related development

  8. Our intentions & objectives • Internal • To learn from the experiences done in other regions • To have a pilot test to further develop the platform of the nine technology center • External • To provide a useful information source to the fruit juices industry

Our difficulties • Just a new public source of information • It is difficult to integrate existing sources: AILIMPO, Asozumos, Agrupación, CTNC because provision of information is important for all of them • Anyhow we would make stronger the performance of CTNC • Shelf-life of the platform • Maintenance by CTNC • Complementary input of information done by the industry itself and its providers

  10. Summary – Conclusions • Technology is important for the juices processing industry • PSIP will be a privileged provider focused on the expressed requests
