  2. Wilkes Conflicts • Wilkes deeply wants to become famous. His father pressures him all the time to do his best.

  3. Grandmother’s Conflicts • One of Grandmothers conflicts is the death of her only daughter. She just lost her daughter and now she has to deal with another child to care for and take care of her. She hasn’t watched and cared for a child since her daughter was little so its kind of a hassle for her.

  4. Bella’s Father’s Conflicts • One of Bella’s Fathers conflicts is the death of his wife, and his business. After he lost her mother he started to drink and drink and had to give up Bella.

  5. Bella’s Conflict • Bella’s decision to help Wilkes with his plot against President Lincoln is Bella’s conflict. She can choose not to help or to help. She might help him for reasons such as – he told her it would help her father, she thinks he is so dreamy and handsome and she doesn’t want to let him go and miss this opportunity to spend time with one of the most famous men in America.

  6. Bella’s Conflict • Wilkes threatens to shoot Bella is one of Bella’s conflicts. When Wilkes snaps at Bella he puts his gun to her temple and threatens to shoot if she doesn’t stop yelling. She quiets down but he wouldn’t let her go because he new if she let her go she would go and tell the authorities.

  7. Bella’s Conflict • When Wilkes ties Bella up and keeps her locked up in a chifforobe it is one of her conflicts.He ties her hands up with a rope, stuffs a dirty rag in her mouth and threatens to shoot her several times. He leaves her in the small chifforobe and just about when she thinks she might not be able to breathe any longer Wilkes comes along and drills holes into the top of the chifforobe and she starts to breathe better. Wilkes leaves again telling Bella that he is going to shoot the President.

  8. Abe’s Conflict • When Abraham Lincoln is shot and dead it is one of her conflict. He was shot by John Wilkes Booth. Now everyone has lost a great President, family member or friend.
