  4. National Portrait Gallery At St. Martins Place is the site of the National Portrait Gallery. The Gallery was founded in 1856 to collect and display pictures of Royalty and political figures. The works range as far back as the Fourteenth century. The twentieth century collection even has portraits of Rolling Stones front man, Mick Jagger and Elton John. One of the most precious images is the only surviving portrait of William Shakespeare, as well as works by Gainsborough, Sargent and Van Dyck.

  6. Serpentine Gallery The Serpentine Gallery is located on the South side of the picturesque Kensington Gardens. Housed within a classical 1934 Tea Pavilion the Gallery was founded by the Arts Council of Britain in 1970. Originally the Serpentine Gallery was used as a temporary location for the display of modern and contemporary Art- however the success of many early exhibitions meant that the Serpentine Gallery is still in use today.

  8. Pump House Gallery The Pump House is a public contemporary visual arts space on the lakeside in Battersea Park. It is the highest profile public visual arts space in Wandsworth, attracting over 30,000 visitors. In the past few years the gallery has been recognized, both nationally and increasingly internationally, as a centre of excellence in the provision of contemporary visual art. The gallery incorporates four floors of exhibition space with stunning views overlooking the 200-acre park and the unusual architecture of the building makes it a unique, ‘one of a kind’ exhibition space in London, if not in the UK.
