Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council • 2013 objectives of the CHIA: • To provide technical support and guidance to child helplines on matters relating to the conducting of impact assessments • Continuous review of the Child Impact Assessment Manual to ensure it remains current and relevant to the needs of the network • To do an inventory of case studies from across the world on child impact assessments

Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council • The members are: • Ms. Irene Nyamu (IN) – Childline Kenya • Trine Natasja Sindahl (TS) - Børnetelefonen • Erik Ott (EO)- Kindertelefoon ( Chair of the Council) • Kim Litchfield - BoysTown and Kids Helpline Australia • Ingrid Srinath - Childline India Foundation

  3. Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council • Since the Council met in May, the outcomes have been: • Drafting of Terms of Reference (TOR) to define the mandate of the Council • An inventory of case studies and Good Practices across the network has been started • Assess the level of support that may be given to the child helpline in Norway for conducting their impact assessment

  4. Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council • In the coming months the Council would like to: • Maintain a database of: • members who have conducted impact assessments in the past • Members who wish to conduct an impact assessment • Communicate regularly to the membership on the efforts pertaining to child impact assessments (for example via the NING)

  5. Child Helpline Impact Assessment (CHIA) Advisory Council • Members interested in: • Conducting a child impact assessment, • Sharing their experiences/study on child impact assessments or • General information • …may contact the CHI Secretariat
