The proposals on which we propose to consult • Structural simplification of the Regulations • Removal of the ACOP • Embedding the co-ordination function within the project team rather than within the role of an individual • Removal of explicit competence requirements • Removal of the exemption for domestic clients • Amendment of the threshold for appointment of co-ordinators

  6. CDM Review – What does it mean?OPEN DISCUSSION • Any change to the regulatory package cannot provide a lower standard of protection than currently provided.

CDM 2014 – what does it mean?OPEN DISCUSSION Key areas of change on which we propose to consult: • Structural simplification of the Regulations • The role of the client strengthened • Removal of exemption for domestic clients • Amendment of the threshold for appointment of co-ordinators • Removal of the requirement for competence • Embedding the co-ordination function within the project team rather than within the role of an individual. • Duties apply to all construction sites. • Removal of the ACOP
