  7. IV.A. Initial Motivation to Learn Learners are engaged and/or involved in initial reviews of past, relevant learning to ensure readiness for new learning as appropriate (IV.A.1). The attention of learners is ensured before directions and explanations for learning begin **OR** learners are attending (IV.A.2). continued
