  1. SPRING/SUMMER 2014 STUDY BRAZIL This exciting opportunity starts for students in the Spring 2014 at NOVA and ends with a Summer 2014 study abroad program in Brazil. In Spring 2014, students must register for and complete one class from the list below either in the Environmental or the Portuguese track. Students will engage via distance with Brazilian students and they will also collaborate on projects and communicate through social media with each other. This partnership will continue into the summer when NOVA students participate in the matching study abroad class for their track. In Brazil, students will spend two weeks exploring the rich state of Goiás and interacting with their Brazilian counterparts while applying what they have learned in the classroom and discovering a new culture. Students must be enrolled in one of the below listed NOVA Spring 2014 courses in order to be eligible to apply for the matching study abroad program during Summer 2014. DEADLINE to apply is NOVEMBER 18, 2013 PORTUGUESE TRACK ORENVIRONMENTAL TRACK Summer Program Cost: Approximately $2,000 (round-trip airfare, visa, tuition, and incidentals). This program is sponsored in part by a grant from the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Some NOVA study abroad scholarships available to eligible students.
