  3. Scope • 1. Assessment of Current Sensor Network for IOC • Team will evaluate the anticipated state of the sensor network at NextGen IOC. Create plan that supports Pre-IOC and IOC EA roadmap decision points, detail upcoming sensor gap analysis activities and mitigation recommendations. Sensors will be categorized as ground-based and airborne-based. Subset of each category to be examined through IOC will be identified. • 2. Right Sizing Master Plan • Team will develop a Master Plan (using DOD TEMP framework) that outlines planning, evaluations, demonstrations, and implementation activities associated with right-sizing effort. Focus will be on identifying required tailored plans that address activities associated with EA roadmap decision points, mitigating discovered sensor gaps, and exploring and demonstrating dynamic sensing and control in a SOA environment.

Analyze draft ATM Weather Integration Plan for applicability.

  9. IOC Product Assessment Deliverable Can not wait for performance requirements. Will attempt to adjust later if info becomes available. Deliverable to include: Completed Matrix with elaboration. Assumptions (may be addressed in future plans) 88D rainfall estimate = rain gauge measurement. Satellite winds = profiler winds. Expected sensor capability at 2013. Strengths and limitations of stand-alone use. Risks Obsolescence Cost estimate to develop geographic coverage maps.
