HR CLUB ….Why? • To create an active network to advise on Human Resources issues and related topics • To promote and benefit from innovative and national HR projects • To build a vision and a cross-culture between potential champions in Telecom change : Human Resources, Management, change leaders,… ITU/BDT/ HRD Rightsizing Workshop, Muscat
HR Club Activities • To collect and classify available HR information in order to set-up regional HR benchmarks • To facilitate the integration of the regional know-how in a global capacity-building scenario • To integrate the benchmarking process as a new dimension to the ITU regional HR meetings • To provide inputs to be discussed during the ITU Virtual Fora as well as during the dedicated HR workshops (case studies, best practices,..) ITU/BDT/ HRD Rightsizing Workshop, Muscat

HR virtual Forum On Competencies-Based Management System • Similar forums being implemented in other regions before the end of the year • Registrations to be carried out straight on the e-learning platform (see invitation letter) at the following address:www.itu.int/itu_d/hrd/elearning • Note: The forum materials will then be available at http://elearningcentre.itu.int/public/ • Cases studies and suggestions for topics from the participating countries to be received at ITU HRD Division before end of august, 2005 to : • Jeanclaude.faure@itu.int ITU/BDT/ HRD Rightsizing Workshop, Muscat
An opportunity to participate actively inThe HRM/HRD worldwide meeting Bahrein from 21-24 November 2005 Some specific features : • This meeting will be a follow-up of the HR Managers meetings previously held in Coventry (2001, 2003) • Case studies and successful transformation scenarii have been recommended in order to match the growing need for regional benchmarks • The current diversity of ITU activities may help setting up a HR Manager Community that may maintain these benchmarks up-dated.
